prati-vatsara prabhu tāṅre pāṭhāna nadīyāte
viccheda-duḥkhitā jāni' jananī āśvāsite


SYNONYMS

prati-vatsara—every year; prabhu—Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu; tāṅre—him; pāṭhāna—sends; nadīyāte—to Navadvīpa; viccheda-duḥkhitā jāni'-knowing her affliction due to separation; jananī—His mother; āśvāsite—to console.


TRANSLATION

Knowing His mother to be greatly afflicted by separation, the Lord would send Jagadānanda Paṇḍita to Navadvīpa every year to console her.
