tāte ādi-līlāra kari pariccheda gaṇana
prathama paricchede kailuṅ ‘maṅgalācaraṇa’


SYNONYMS

tāte — therefore; ādi-līlāra — of the First Canto, known as Adi-līlā; kari — I do; paricchedachapter; gaṇana — enumeration; prathama paricchede — in the First Chapter; kailuṅ — I have done; maṅgala-ācaraṇa — invocation of auspiciousness.


TRANSLATION

Therefore I shall enumerate the chapters of the Adi-līlā. In the First Chapter I offer obeisances to the spiritual master, for this is the beginning of auspicious writing.
