Concerning the proposed meeting with the Pope, I have no objection cancelling or delaying the journey to Tehran if the meeting with the Pope is assured. That is important. But if it is simply a courtesy visit, then what is the use? If he is prepared to discuss seriously how religion is becoming degraded all over the world, then it is worthwhile. Religion is now being taken as a formality. People generally have no real conception of God. Ours is a tangible connection with God. We know who is God and how to serve Him. Everything is fact.<br/> | |||

My dear Bhagavan das,
Please accept my blessings. I am in due receipt of your letter dated July 8, 1976, and I have noted the contents with care.
Everything is fact.
I hope that this meets you in good health.
Your ever well-wisher,
A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami
