- ity ukto 'cyutam ānamya
- gato māheśvaro jvaraḥ
- bāṇas tu ratham ārūḍhaḥ
- prāgād yotsyan janārdanam
SYNONYMS
iti—thus; uktaḥ—addressed; acyutam—to Kṛṣṇa, the infallible Supreme Lord; ānamya—bowing down; gataḥ—went; māheśvaraḥ—of Lord Śiva; jvaraḥ—the fever weapon; tu—but; ratham—his chariot; ārūḍhaḥ—riding; prāgāt—came forward; yotsyan—intending to fight; janārdanam—Lord Kṛṣṇa.

TRANSLATION
Thus addressed, the Māheśvara-jvara bowed down to the infallible Lord and went away. But Bāṇāsura then appeared, riding forth on his chariot to fight Lord Kṛṣṇa.
