- ity ukto 'cyutam ānamya
- gato māheśvaro jvaraḥ
- bāṇas tu ratham ārūḍhaḥ
- prāgād yotsyan janārdanam
SYNONYMS
iti — thus; uktaḥ — addressed; acyutam — to Kṛṣṇa, the infallible Supreme Lord; ānamya — bowing down; gataḥ — went; māheśvaraḥ — of Lord Śiva; jvaraḥ — the fever weapon; tu — but; ratham — his chariot; ārūḍhaḥ — riding; prāgāt — came forward; yotsyan — intending to fight; janārdanam — Lord Kṛṣṇa.

TRANSLATION
Thus addressed, the Māheśvara-jvara bowed down to the infallible Lord and went away. But Bāṇāsura then appeared, riding forth on his chariot to fight Lord Kṛṣṇa.
