- itthaṁ bṛhad-vrata-dharas
- tapaḥ-svādhyāya-saṁyamaiḥ
- dadhyāv adhokṣajaṁ yogī
- dhvasta-kleśāntarātmanā
SYNONYMS
ittham—in this manner; bṛhat-vrata-dharaḥ—maintaining the vow of celibacy, brahmacarya; tapaḥ-svādhyāya-saṁyamaiḥ—by his austerities, studies of the Vedas and regulative principles; dadhyau—he meditated; adhokṣajam—upon the transcendental Lord; yogī—the yogī; dhvasta—destroyed; kleśa—all troubles; antaḥ-ātmana—with his introspective mind.
