- itthaṁ bṛhad-vrata-dharas
- tapaḥ-svādhyāya-saṁyamaiḥ
- dadhyāv adhokṣajaṁ yogī
- dhvasta-kleśāntarātmanā
SYNONYMS
ittham — in this manner; bṛhat-vrata-dharaḥ — maintaining the vow of celibacy, brahmacarya; tapaḥ-svādhyāya-saṁyamaiḥ — by his austerities, studies of the Vedas and regulative principles; dadhyau — he meditated; adhokṣajam — upon the transcendental Lord; yogī — the yogī; dhvasta — destroyed; kleśa — all troubles; antaḥ-ātmana — with his introspective mind.
