tṛṇa haite nīca hañā sadā labe nāma
āpani nirabhimānī, anye dibe māna


SYNONYMS

tṛṇa — grass; haite — than; nīcalower; hañā — becoming; sadā — always; labe — chant; nāma — the holy name; āpani — personally; nirabhimānī — without honor; anye — unto others; dibe — you should give; māna — all respect.


TRANSLATION

“To chant the holy name always, one should be humbler than the grass in the street and devoid of all desire for personal honor, but one should offer others all respectful obeisances.
