ughāḍa-aṅge paḍiyā śaṅkara nidrā yāya
prabhu uṭhi’ āpana-kāṅthā tāhāre jaḍāya


SYNONYMS

ughāḍa-aṅge — without a covering over the body; paḍiyā — lying down; śaṅkara — Śaṅkara; nidrā yāya — goes to sleep; prabhu — Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu; uṭhi’ — getting up; āpana-kāṅthā — His own quilt; tāhāre jaḍāya — wraps him with.


TRANSLATION

He would lie asleep without a covering on his body, and Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu would get up and wrap him with His own quilt.
