Jijnashitam susampannam api te mahadadbhutom,
Kritaban bharatam yastam sarbartha paribringhitam
ENGLISH SYNONYMS
Jijnashitam—fully enquired, Susampannam—well versed, Api—inspite of, Te—your, Mahadadbhutam—great and wonderful, Kritaban—prepared, Yastam—what you have done, Sarbartha—including all sequences, Paribringhitam—elaborately explained.
TRANSLATION
Your enquires were full and studies also fulfilled well and there is no doubt about it as you have prepared the great and wonderful work Mahabharata which is full of all Vedic sequences elaborately explained.
PURPORT
Despondency of Vyasdeva was certainly not due to his lack of sufficient knowledge because as a student, he had fully enquired in the Vedic literatures as a result of which the Mahabharat is compiled with full expanation of the Vedas.
