mora sei kalā-nidhi, prāṇa-rakṣā-mahauṣadhi,
sakhi, mora teṅho suhṛttama
deha jīye tāṅhā vine, dhik ei jīvane,
vidhi kare eta viḍambana!"


SYNONYMS

mora—of Me; sei—that; kalā-nidhi—reservoir of art and culture; prāṇa-rakṣa—mahā-auṣaudhi—the panacea for saving My life; sakhi—O My dear friend; mora—My; teṅho-He; suhṛt-tama—the best of friends; deha jīye—My body lives; tāṅhā vine—without Him; dhik—condemnation; ei jīvane—to this life; vidhi—Providence; kare—does; eta viḍambana—so much cheating.


TRANSLATION

"Kṛṣṇa is the reservoir of art and culture, and He is the panacea that saves My life. O My dear friend, since I live without Him, who is the best among My friends, I condemn the duration of My life. I think that Providence has cheated Me in many ways.
