771112 - Conversation A - Vrndavana

His Divine Grace
A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada

771112R1-VRNDAVAN - November 12, 1977 - 7:01 Minutes

Prabhupada: Aaiye. (Please come.)

Kavirāja: Boliya. Kucsh thoda-thoda takat mehsoos karte hain? (Tell me. Do you experience a little bit of strength?)

Bhakti-caru: He's asking whether Śrīla Prabhupāda is feeling stronger. He said yes.

Kavirāja: Aaj tatti hua hai inko? (Did he pass motion today?)

Bhakti-caru: Hua. Abhi-abhi doodh diye hai. (Yes, he did. Just now I gave him milk.)

Kaviraja: Thoda maharaj jeebh thoda sa. Theek hai. Abhi to teen pudiya apko de dete hain. ek-ek pudiya roj raat bolte bhi khana hai. heart wala de diya, uska koi zaroorat nahi hai. pulse 90 hai, 90. (Just show me your tongue Mahārāja. It is okay. I will give you three packets now. A one one packet should be given daily, at night while talking also. The heart pill I have given, there is no need for giving that. Pulse is 90, 90.)

Bhakti-caru: He's saying that Prabhupāda's pulse is ninety, which is normal, and he gave three other medicines for Prabhupāda's heart.

Kavirāja: Accha aaj missing beat nahi hai jo missing hai na beech-beech me, aaj wo nahi hai. (Okay, today the missing beat is not there which used to occur in between, today that is not there.)

Bhakti-caru: Kaun sa? (Which one?)

Kaviraja: Pulse chalte-chalte jo . . . (When the pulse is beating that . . .)

Bhakti-caru: That missing beat that Prabhupāda was having—that's no more there.

Prabhupāda: Hmm? What is that?

Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: You were having a missing beat in your pulse.

Prabhupāda: Huh?

Bhakti-caru: Majhe majhe Srila Prabhupada pulser theme jachilo, mane gap jachilo. Ajke ar seta hochche na. Eta khub bhalo lokkhon. Apnar heartbeat pulse er iye ta majhe majhe ekta, duto beat, ekta beat chere jachchilo. (Sometimes Prabhupāda your pulse beat was getting missed. Today it's not happening. These are very good symptoms. Sometimes one or two of your beats in the pulse were getting missed.)

Kavirāja: 70-60 chal kar ke phir ek jagah beat deta tha. vo vayu badhne se heart me aisa position hota hai. Kal bhi kuch tha, kal apko 10-12 ke upar tha, aaj bikul nahi hai. Aaj regular. bus jara boliye kum maharaj abhi 2-4 roz apse ye prarthana hai. Man-hi-man me boliye aap. jitne maun rahenge. Ye aaplogon jo maun ka nikala hai na, maun se bada strength aata hai aur badi takat aati hai aur bolne se energy khatam hoti hai. (It used to record 70 to 60 and then give a beat in one place. That position happens because of build up of gas. Yesterday it was there. It was above 10 to 12, today it is completely not there. Today's pulse is regular. You must not talk too much Mahārāja, for 2 to 4 days. My request to you is you speak to yourself within the mind. The more silent you remain, this silence which you people follow, this will give you more strength and energy and when you speak then the energy gets depleted.)

Bhakti-caru: He is telling that he's requesting repeatedly that Prabhupāda doesn't talk too much. He says that the energy that he's building, the moment he starts talking, that he loses that energy.

Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: Is that all right, Śrīla Prabhupāda?

Prabhupāda: No, how to say all right? (devotees chuckle)

Kavirāja: Accha pet pehle bhi aisa bolta tha inka? (Okay, did the stomach make such sounds earlier also?)

Bhakti-caru: Kabhi-kabhi hota tha aise. aur doodh peene ke baad, phal ka ras peene ke baad aisa hota hai. (It used to happen sometimes and it would happen after drinking milk or the juice of fruits.)

Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: Trying to stop Śrīla Prabhupāda from speaking is like trying to stop the Gaṅgā.

Kavirāja: Swamiji ek baat boloon. Maine lakhon patient dekhe hain, apki machine bhi badi vichitra machine hai. Aap samjhe mere kehne ka matlab. Ye minute me jo kuch ho jata hai aur minute me jo kuch tha hi nahi, ekdam correct. mane ye manushya ka nahi ho sakta hai, ye baat zaroor hai. jaise parso subah apko weakness hui thoda dard hua na usko control karne me humko kum-se-kum 6 ghante lagte hain aur maine within 5 minute uske control ho gaya. to hum kya samajhega boliye, kya leela hai ye. Accha ab wo apka samay nikal gaya hai. Aap jo thoda kushti ke liye bolte the na mere ko kal se ye dharna ho gayi hai ki aap nischay theek ho jayenge, koi sandeh nahi. Kyunki shesh karya hai na usko bhagvan karayega, isme koi sandeh nahi aur doosra koi karne wala nahi. bus jaise apne kal doodh liya, phal ka ras liya vaise aap lete rahenge na to hafte bhar me thoda strength aa jayega. (Shall I say something Swamiji? I have seen lakhs of patients. Your machine is a very amazing machine. Did you understand what I meant? It becomes critical in just a few minutes and in minutes it becomes alright as if nothing happened, perfectly correct. This does not belong to any human, this is a fact. Like yesterday morning when you had weakness, you had pain. To control that condition it takes 6 hours for me and it got controlled in 5 minutes. What should I understand by this? Tell me. What pastime is this? Okay, now that period is over. You used to talk about kushti, since yesterday I have got this conviction that you will definitely become alright, there is no doubt. Because there is work which is balanced and the Lord will make you do it, there is no doubt about this and there is no one else who will do it. How did you take milk and fruit juice yesterday? If you continue taking in something then very soon you will regain a little strength.)

Bhakti-caru: Main unlog ko translate kar ke aap jo bole hain na. (I will translate for them whatever you said just now.) He is saying that he's seen lakhs of patients, but he hasn't seen a body like Śrīla Prabhupāda's. Like in one moment it is very critical, and the next moment it's in perfect order. And he is now absolutely confident that Prabhupāda is going to get well.

Jagadīśa: He is or isn't?

Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: He is. We also are.

Bhakti-caru: And he's just requesting Śrīla Prabhupāda that he keeps on taking the milk and the fruit juice and the medicine.

Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: Is that all right, Śrīla Prabhupāda? (end)
