771104 - Letter to Yamuna and Dina Tarine from Tamal Krsna
November 4th, 1977
From: Tamal Krishna
Dear Yamuna Devi and Dina Tarine Devi,
Please accept my obeisances. I’ve been instructed by His Divine Grace Srila Prabhupada to thank you for your letter dated October 19th, 1977. Srila Prabhupada heard your letter with attention. I then described to Him the pictures which will be appearing in your cook book. Srila Prabhupada asked to be sat up, He put on His glasses, and He looked carefully at each picture, and appreciated how nice you were preparing the prasadam there.
Over the past few weeks sometimes the sound of the “Govindam” record come from the temple as the Deities are being greeted by the devotees. On two occasions Srila Prabhupada asked, “Yamuna is doing nicely? How many girls there are there?” I said that I thought they wanted to keep everything small. Srila Prabhupada said, “Yes, small is good. How they get money?” I answered that I thought that Dina Tarine gets some pension. Srila Prabhupada asked, “They spend all the money? They can distribute prasadam. That will be a nice program.”
So Srila Prabhupada is quite pleased with your nice activities there at Sri Radha Banabehari Mandir. Hoping this meets you in the best of health and Krsna consciousness.
Your servant,
- Tamal Krsna Gosvami
- Secretary to Srila Prabhupada
- Srimate Yamuna Devi Dasi
- Srimate Dina Tarine Devi Dasi
- Sri Sri Radha Banabehari Mandir
P.S. Srila Prabhupada is resting here in Vrndavana and if He gains sufficient strength He will go on to Sridham Mayapur.
