My dear Prabhakar,

The other day when I met you at Kurukshetra, I was very glad to see you. You promised to see me at the ????gation Rest House where I was staying, but you did not come. I could not stay at Kurukshetra because I was to come here in Australia the next day. I am staying here now in Australia and from here I shall go to Fiji. From Fiji, I shall go to Hawaii and my address there is as follows: 51 Coelho Way, Honolulu, Hawaii, USA. Kindly reply this letter to my Hawaii address.

You requested me at Kurukshetra to open a center there and I am very much encouraged and I welcome your suggestion. I have already written to Sriman G.L. Nanda two letters in this connection. The copies are enclosed herewith for your reference. I wish that this Kurukshetra be fully utilized for preaching Bhagavad-gétä as it is throughout the whole world. This was our scheme from the very beginning when I met you first at Jhansi sometime in the year 1952. Actually, Kurukshetra must be utilized for this purpose and if we can do that, Krishna will be very very much pleased. I have explained to Mr. Nanda in my letter to him dated May 9th, 1975 that nobody can manufacture religion. It is clearly stated that dharma is an act which is prescribed by the Supreme Personality of Godhead. dharmam tu saksad bhagavat-pranitam na vai vidur-rsayoh napi devah / na siddha-mukhya asura manusyah kuto nu vidyadhara-caranadayah (SB 6/3/19). In this world, Krishna gave us the synopsis of dharma 5,000 years ago in that holy place of Kurukshetra. Later on, the Buddhists, the Christians, the Mohamedans, and in India, the Jains, Arya Samaj, Sikhism and so many types of religions did spring up, but nobody could flourish. So, why not preach Krishna’s religion, sarva dharman parityajya mam ekam saranam vraja. Preach from Kurukshetra. The Kurukshetra University is there. Learned Sanskrit scholars like you are there. I have now translated about 75 books in the English language about 400 pages each for study. Why not join our selves to execute this great task of preaching Bhagavad-gétä as it is from the holy place of Kurukshetra? I met one Bengali professor of philosophy who is teaching in the Kurukshetra University. He is also very much interested. He is already reading my books and he is very much satisfied. Why not introduce a department in the Kurukshetra University for understanding the Krishna Consciousness philosophy and give them suitable diploma? I can bring many foreign students to study the subject matter very gravely. I am sure you can do all these things because you are intelligent, learned scholar. You know what I want to do. You simply to make Mr. G.L. Nanda agree to this proposal and if we join together, yourself, myself, and other interested persons, then surely we can make the Kurukshetra project a grand success. As you are my first disciple, I request you again to join this great movement and help it to your best capacity. I hope you will kindly agree and let me know your decision by return post. Thanking you in anticipation.

Your ever well-wisher,

A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami
