710920 - Letter to Mr. Sarkar from Tamal Krsna

Delhi,

September 20, 1971

From: Tamal Krishna - SL_710920_A1

My Dear Mr. Sarkar,

Please accept my humble obeisances. I have not heard from you yet as to what is the position of our land in Mayapur since the flooding.

Once again you are being entrusted with a very important mission. Because of the flooding all of the farmers must have lost much of their crops. So they will be in need of money and willing to sell their property. Srila Prabhupada has requested me to see that more land is purchased at this time. As soon, we will begin construction and this is the right time to purchase. So I wish that immediately when you receive this letter you will go to Calcutta and discuss this matter fully with Jayapataka Swami, who will deal with the matter in my absence. I have also written him regarding this matter and he is expecting you. The land should be purchased from either side, either to the north or to the south of the land we already have, thus making our land wider. Which ever side gives the lower price that we should take. So go now to Calcutta and discuss with Jayapataka Swami. No time should be wasted and we wish to purchase in a months time.

Hoping this finds you in good health.

Your servant
Tamal Krishna Das

P.S. Once the construction begins, the land prices will go higher, so we should purchase before construction begins.
