prabhu bhikṣā kaila dinera tṛtīya-prahare
nirviṇṇa sei vipra upavāsa kare


SYNONYMS

prabhu — Lord Caitanya Mahāprabhu; bhikṣā kaila — took His luncheon; dinera — of the day; tṛtīya-prahare — at about three o’clock; nirviṇṇa — sorrowful; sei — that; viprabrāhmaṇa; upavāsa kare — fasted.


TRANSLATION

Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu took His lunch at about three o’clock, but the brāhmaṇa, being very sorrowful, fasted.
