akrūrera loka āise prabhure dekhite
loka-bhiḍe svacchande nāre ‘kīrtana’ karite


SYNONYMS

akrūrera loka — the people at Akrūra-tīrtha; āise — came; prabhure — Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu; dekhite — to see; loka-bhiḍe — because of such a crowd of people; svacchande — without disturbance; nāre — was not able; kīrtana karite — to perform kīrtana.


TRANSLATION

All the people who lived near Akrūra-tīrtha came to see Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu, and due to the large crowds, the Lord could not peacefully chant the holy name.
