mahā-pātra ānila tāṅre kariyā sammāna
yoḍa-hāte prabhu-āge laya kṛṣṇa-nāma


SYNONYMS

mahā-pātra—the Orissan representative; ānila—brought; tāṅre—him; kariyā sammāna—showing great respect; yoḍa-hāte—with folded hands; prabhu-āge—before Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu; laya kṛṣṇa-nāma—chanted the holy name of Kṛṣṇa.


TRANSLATION

Arriving in that way, the Mohammedan governor was respectfully brought before Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu by the mahā-pātra. The governor then stood before the Lord with folded hands, and he chanted the holy name of Kṛṣṇa.
