garva, abhilāṣa, bhaya, śuṣka-rudita
krodha, asūyā haya, āra manda-smita


SYNONYMS

garvapride; abhilāṣa — ambition; bhayafear; śuṣka-rudita — dry, artificial crying; krodha — anger; asūyā — envy; hayathere is; āraalso; manda-smita — mild smiling.


TRANSLATION

“The seven combined ingredients of mahā-bhāva are pride, ambition, fear, dry artificial crying, anger, envy and mild smiling.
