‘vāmā’ eka gopī-gaṇa, ‘dakṣiṇā’ eka gaṇa
nānā-bhāve karāya kṛṣṇe rasa āsvādana


SYNONYMS

vāmā — left wing; eka — one; gopī-gaṇaparty of gopīs; dakṣiṇā — right wing; eka — another; gaṇa — party of gopīs; nānā-bhāve — in varieties of ecstatic love; karāya — cause to do; kṛṣṇe — unto Kṛṣṇa; rasa āsvādana — tasting of transcendental mellows.


TRANSLATION

“The gopīs can be divided into a left wing and a right wing. Both wings induce Kṛṣṇa to taste transcendental mellows by various manifestations of ecstatic love.
