kaṭaka haite patrī dila sārvabhauma-ṭhāñi
prabhura ājñā haya yadi, dekhibāre yāi


SYNONYMS

kaṭaka haite — from Kaṭaka, the capital of Orissa; patrī — a letter; dila — sent; sārvabhaumaof Sārvabhauma Bhaṭṭācārya; ṭhāñi — to the place; prabhura — of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu; ājñā — order; haya — there is; yadi — if; dekhibāre yāi — I can go and see.


TRANSLATION

The King sent a letter from his capital, Kaṭaka, to Sārvabhauma Bhaṭṭācārya, entreating him to obtain the Lord’s permission so that he could go and see Him.
