śuni’ gajapatira mane sukha upajila
prabhure milite ei mantraṇā dṛḍha kaila


SYNONYMS

śuni’ — hearing; gajapatira — of King Pratāparudra; mane — in the mind; sukha — happiness; upajila — awakened; prabhure — Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu; milite — to meet; ei — this; mantraṇāinstruction; dṛḍha kaila — decided to accept rigidly.


TRANSLATION

Mahārāja Pratāparudra took the Bhaṭṭācārya’s advice and firmly decided to follow his instructions. Thus he felt transcendental happiness.
