sannyāsī mānuṣa āmāra bhūmite śayana
āmāre khāṭa-tūli-bālisa mastaka-muṇḍana“


SYNONYMS

sannyāsī mānuṣa—a person in the renounced order of life; āmāra—My; bhūmite śayana—lying on the floor; āmāre—for Me; khāṭa—bedstead; tūli—quilt; bālisa—pillow; mastaka-muṇḍana—a great shame.


TRANSLATION

“I am in the renounced order, and therefore I must lie on the floor. For Me to use a bedstead, quilt or pillow would be very shameful.”
