māyā-aṁśe kahi tāre nimitta-kāraṇa
seha nahe, yāte kartā-hetu—nārāyaṇa


SYNONYMS

māyā-aṁśe — to the other portion of the material nature; kahi — I say; tāre — unto her; nimitta-kāraṇa — immediate cause; seha nahe — that cannot be; yāte — because; kartā-hetu — the original cause; nārāyaṇa — Lord Nārāyaṇa.


TRANSLATION

The māyā aspect of material nature is the immediate cause of the cosmic manifestation. But it cannot be the real cause, for the original cause is Lord Nārāyaṇa.
