pratibhāra kāvya tomāra devatā santoṣe
bhāla-mate vicārile jāni guṇa-doṣe


SYNONYMS

pratibhāra — of ingenuity; kāvya — poetry; tomārayour; devatā — the Lord; santoṣesatisfies; bhāla-mate — scrutinizingly; vicārile — on analyzing; jāni — I know; guṇa-doṣe — there are faults and good qualities also.


TRANSLATION

“There is no doubt that your poetry is full of ingenuity, and certainly it has satisfied the Supreme Lord. Yet if we scrutinizingly consider it we can find both good qualities and faults.”
