sūrya candra bāhirera tamaḥ se vināśe
bahir-vastu ghaṭa-paṭa-ādi se prakāśe


SYNONYMS

sūrya—the sun; candra—the moon; bāhirera—of the external world; tamaḥ—darkness; se—they; vināśe—destroy; bahiḥ-vastu—external things; ghaṭa—waterpots; paṭa-ādi—plates, etc.; se—they; prakāśe—reveal.


TRANSLATION

The sun and moon dissipate the darkness of the external world and thus reveal external material objects like pots and plates.
