(Translated from Hindi into English)

Prabhupāda: That is why the Supreme Personality of Godhead Himself has come in the form of Caitanya Mahāprabhu. This is stated in the scriptures kalau hari kirtanat, Caitanya Mahāprabhu:

kṛṣṇa-varṇaṁ tviṣākṛṣṇaṁ
sāṅgopāṅgāstra-pārṣadam
yajñaiḥ saṅkīrtana-prāyair
yajanti hi su-medhasaḥ
(SB 11.5.32)

This is stated in the scriptures, in Kali-yuga, the deity of Caitanya Mahāprabhu, which you can see here, just by chanting the holy names of the Lord, like these people have demonstrated to you, by following in the footsteps of Caitanya Mahaprabu. Whatever Caitanya Mahāprabhu has demonstrated, we follow in His footsteps, we are from the Caitanya sampradaya.

So Kali-yuga is so full of foolishness, that has been stated at the outset, they have forgotten real religious principles (dharma), all forgotten, so to awaken them this is the only way. kīrtanād eva kṛṣṇasya mukta-saṅgaḥ paraṁ vrajet (SB 12.3.51) If we just chant Hare Kṛṣṇa, then gradually we will be liberated and go back to Godhead. So this is called dharma.

So in Kali-yuga all the people because of being so fallen, by the name of Kṛṣṇa, Kṛṣṇa Himself descends as His name. All of you accept this and you will be happy. kalau nāsty eva nāsty eva nāsty eva gatir anyathā, If you chant the names of Kṛṣṇa, by just chanting Hare Kṛṣṇa you will be purified, ceto-darpaṇa-mārjanaṁ (CC Antya 20.12, Śikṣāṣṭaka 1), whatever dirt is there in the heart will be cleansed, ceto-darpaṇa, then you will understand what is your position, and to advance . . . (break) . . . tava, this is required. At first na kariṣye vacanaṁ tava this was the case in the beginning, then the Lord instructed him that why are you acting childish after coming to the battlefield, that I will not fight. Is this the behavior of a gentleman? Anārya-juṣṭam (BG 2.2) , this is not a characteristic of an āryan, this is anāryan, you are such a fool, you have come to fight, you are My friend, acquaintance, and you are running away. So this was his thought that the Lord is saying you fight and he says, na kariṣye vacanaṁ tava (BG 18.73). No. I will not listen to You. And after hearing Bhagavad-gītā, he said: kariṣye vacanaṁ tava (BG 18.73), the na disappeared. The no is no longer there, that I won't fight. This change happened. It is not difficult to understand. First it was na kariṣye vacanaṁ tava, and now it has become kariṣye vacanaṁ tava (BG 18.73). This change must occur.

So the person who changes like this, the Lord who speaks in the Bhagavad-gītā, kariṣye vacanaṁ tava (BG 18.73), his reading of Bhagavad-gītā is successful. Otherwise he remains a fool. Na māṁ duṣkṛtino mūḍhāḥ prapadyante narādhamāḥ (BG 7.15) So it is required that after reading the Bhagavad-gītā, one becomes intelligent and say kariṣye vacanaṁ tava. Whatever Lord Kṛṣṇa says I will do that. That's all.

Organizer: As I had mentioned before that if someone wants to ask questions, tad viddhi praṇipātena paripraśnena sevayā (BG 4.34), first come here and offer obeisances . . . (indistinct) . . . there are two questions . . . (indistinct) . . . kindly give us the definition of bona fide spiritual master.

Prabhupāda: The spiritual master is one who preaches what the Lord speaks. The Lord says, sarva-dharmān parityajya mām ekaṁ śaraṇaṁ vraja (BG 18.66) this is dharma. And the duty of a spiritual master is to say give up all dharma and surrender unto the lotus feet of Kṛṣṇa. He is a spiritual master. Otherwise the rest are cheaters. One who himself becomes Kṛṣṇa, he is a cheater. And the one who says surrender unto the lotus feet of Kṛṣṇa, he is a spiritual master. This is the difference. You test him to see what he says. If he says what Kṛṣṇa says, mām ekaṁ śaraṇaṁ vraja, the spiritual master also says, surrender unto the lotus feet of Kṛṣṇa, Kṛṣṇa is the Supreme Personality of Godhead Himself, surrender unto the lotus feet of Kṛṣṇa, that is a spiritual master. And the ones who talk nonsense, they are not spiritual masters. This is the fact. See from both sides. That's all.

Organizer: It is said . . . (indistinct) . . . first battle Ramayana was between Rama and Ravana, the second battle Kṛṣṇa Mahabharata, what will happen in the third battle?

Prabhupāda: In the third you will have to fight. (laughter) You are the incarnation. (laughs) What will happen in the third, remain in the second one first. First accept what the Lord says in the second one, and then talk about the third one. First accept what the Lord says now sarva-dharmān parityajya mām ekaṁ śaraṇaṁ vraja (BG 18.66). Then what will He say in the third instance. That third instance is there, Caitanya Mahāprabhu, He says, harer nāma harer nāma harer nāmaiva kevalam kalau nāsty eva these are the words of the scriptures, not manufactured by Caitanya Mahāprabhu. This is stated in the Brhad Naradiya Purana that in Kali-yuga, harer nāma harer nāma harer nāmaiva kevalam, do all this, then you will be benefitted, you will be liberated, happy.

Organizer: Someone asked a question, Sai Baba says he is bhagavan. Is that so? Is this the truth?

Prabhupāda: (chuckles) We don't know all this. We are fools, we know only Kṛṣṇa, not anything else. (laughs) We are not very learned. We only know this, kṛṣṇas tu bhagavān svayam (SB 1.3.28), that's all. Rest are all thieves. That's all. (laughter) Is there any thing else?

Organizer: Does any one have any question?

Prabhupāda: No more. Done enough. (end)
