Bombay,

January 3, 1975

From: Paramahamsa

Los Angeles

Dear Jadurani devi,

Please accept my obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. I am in due receipt of your letter dated Dec. 27th, and have noted the contents. Regarding the Rathayatra print, the unanswered questions are answered herein. You should not shown water coming from Lord Caitanya’s eyes like in the print. You can keep the elephant. The festival should be taking place at mid-day. Yes, Lord Jagannatha must be shown. You have been to Rathayatra, so you know that Lord Jagannatha can be seen and also how far the carts are apart from each other from practical perspective. It should be drawn just like that, the way we have our festival in San Francisco. You don’t need to show the hills, seas, and earth doing anything while Lord Caitanya is dancing.

Regarding the Panca-tattva all having effulgence, yes, they all have. Even if they are shown apart from one another, they still have. All of the associates have effulgences but they are not manifest. Lord Caitanya and Lord Nityananda have the greatest effulgence and Sri Advaita, Sri Gadadhara and Srivasa all have effulgences but slight.

Prabhupada encourages Bharadraja’s classes. Anyone who is interested can attend.

Concerning the Letter to: Chicago, Prabhupada’s answer was “because I instruct one person one way, does that mean it is for everybody?” Painting for the books to make them nice and attractive is just as important as distributing them. Both things must go on along with all of our other activities. Because one thing is stressed that does not mean other important things should decrease. Everything must continue. As you Know, printing and distributing his books is always given stress, so continue doing nice work and train any others who also have capacity in that way.

I hope this meets you in good health.

your servant,

Paramahamsa Svami

(Personal Secretary)
