mahā-malla-gaṇe dila ratha cālāite
āpane lāgilā ratha, nā pāre ṭānite


SYNONYMS

mahā-malla-gaṇe — unto the big wrestlers; dila — gave; ratha — the car; cālāite — to pull out; āpane — personally; lāgilāengaged; ratha — the car; pāre ṭānite — could not move.


TRANSLATION

The King then arranged for big wrestlers to try to pull the car, and even the King himself joined in, but the car could not be moved.
