dūra haite tāhā dekhi’ lokera haya ‘bhrama’
‘kālīyera śarīre kṛṣṇa kariche nartana’!


SYNONYMS

dūra haite—from a distant place; tāhā dekhi’—seeing that; lokera—of people in general; haya—there is; bhrama—mistake; kālīyera—of the snake Kālīya; śarīre—on the body; kṛṣṇa—Lord Kṛṣṇa; kariche nartana—is dancing.


TRANSLATION

“From a distance, people mistakenly think that they are seeing Kṛṣṇa dancing on the body of the Kālīya serpent.
