My dear Giriraj Prabhu,

Please accept my humble obeisances at your feet.

By now you must have received my telegram, “LOAN APPROVED.” By His causeless mercy, Srila Prabhupada approved giving you a loan for Rs. 10,00,000/-. Enclosed please find the appropriate letter to Bank of America informing them to transfer Rs. 5,00,000/- which is the second part of the loan. An additional Rs. 5,00,000/- will be transferred to your account in the beginning of October. Also enclosed please find a Loan Agreement which you should sign along with Gopal Krsna Prabhu and return immediately to me, and upon getting His Divine Grace’s signature I shall forward you a copy. As you can see I have extended the period of repayment to 24 months which should make it a little easier for you and I’ve required you to begin making payments as of the last day of the month of November by which time your collection drive should be rolling full-steam ahead. I hope all of these arrangements are satisfactory to you. Also enclosed please find the letters to the Bank of America informing them to transfer on three successive occasions Rs. 6,00,000/-, which you should only present to the bank after receiving advice from them that the transfers from Los Angeles have been received. Please be good enough to send all advices promptly when you receive them from our banks.

Srila Prabhupada is very much appreciating having come to the West. His Divine Grace is getting wonderful rest at the Bhaktivedanta Manor, in a way which He was not able to in India. Here there are no anxieties or worries and He is fully able to be merged in the ecstasy of thinking of the Supreme Personality of Godhead and His devotees. Just today Srila Prabhupada received many photographs of the Los Angeles Rathayatra which was the most successful ever held in our movement. His Divine Grace felt so much ecstasy that He could not take His massage nor His meals but after many hours He simply retired to bed. The glories of the pure devotee of the Lord are unlimited and we are seeing them manifested in the personality of His Divine Grace Srila Prabhupada.
