veṇu-śabda śuni’ āmi gelāṅa vṛndāvana
dekhi,—goṣṭhe veṇu bājāya vrajendra-nandana


SYNONYMS

veṇu-śabda—the vibration of the flute; śuni’—after hearing; āmi—I; gelāṅa—went; vṛndāvana—to Vṛndāvana; dekhi—I saw; goṣṭhe—in the pasturing field; veṇu—the flute; bājāya—played; vrajendra-nandana—Kṛṣṇa, the son of Nanda Mahārāja.


TRANSLATION

“After hearing the vibration of a flute, I went to Vṛndāvana, and there I saw that Kṛṣṇa, the son of Mahārāja Nanda, was playing on His flute in the pasturing grounds.
