svarūpa kahe,—premavatīra ei ta’ svabhāva
kāntera audāsya-leśe haya krodha-bhāva


SYNONYMS

svarūpa kahe—Svarūpa Dāmodara Gosvāmī replied; prema-vatīra—of the girl who is too afflicted by love; ei—this; ta’—indeed; svabhāva—the nature; kāntera—of the beloved; audāsya—of negligence; leśe—even by a fractional part; haya—there is; krodha-bhāva—anger.


TRANSLATION

Svarūpa Dāmodara replied, “It is the nature of a girl afflicted by love to become immediately angry upon finding any neglect on the part of her lover.”
