pahile dekhiluṅ tomāra sannyāsi-svarūpa
ebe tomā dekhi muñi śyāma-gopa-rūpa


SYNONYMS

pahile—in the beginning; dekhiluṅ—I saw; tomāra—Your; sannyāsi-svarūpa—form as a person in the renounced order; ebe—now; tomā—You; dekhi—see; muñi—I; śyāma-gopa-rūpa—form as Śyāmasundara, the cowherd boy.


TRANSLATION

Rāmānanda Rāya then told Lord Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu, “At first I saw You appear like a sannyāsī, but now I am seeing You as Śyāmasundara, the cowherd boy.
