tāṅhāra caritre prabhu antare santoṣa
tāṅhāra hāte dhari’ kahe kari’ praṇaya-roṣa


SYNONYMS

tāṅhāra caritre—in his behavior; prabhu—Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu; antare—within His heart; santoṣa—very much satisfied; tāṅhāra hāte dhari’—catching his hand; kahe—says; kari’—exhibiting; praṇaya-roṣa—anger in love.


TRANSLATION

Gadādhara Paṇḍita’s behavior was very pleasing to Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu’s heart. Nevertheless, the Lord took his hand and spoke to him, displaying the anger of love.
