’aṣṭa-sāttvika’ bhāva aṅge prakaṭa ha-ila
harṣādi ‘vyabhicārī’ saba uthalila


SYNONYMS

aṣṭa-sāttvika—eight spiritual; bhāva—emotions; aṅge—on the body; prakaṭa ha-ila—became manifest; harṣa-ādi—beginning with jubilation; vyabhicārī—thirty-three changes of vyabhicāri-bhāva; saba—all; uthalila—were manifest.


TRANSLATION

At that time, all eight kinds of spiritual transformations became manifest in Lord Caitanya’s body. The thirty-three symptoms of vyabhicāri-bhāva, beginning with lamentation and jubilation, became prominent as well.
