rāya kahe,—“lokera sukha ihāra śravaṇe
abhīṣṭa-devera smṛti maṅgalācaraṇe“


SYNONYMS

rāya kahe—Rāmānanda Rāya says; lokera—of the people in general; sukha—happiness; ihāra śravaṇe—in hearing such poetic expressions; abhīṣṭa-devera—of the worshipable Deity; smṛti—remembrance; maṅgala-ācaraṇe—in the performance of auspiciousness in the beginning.


TRANSLATION

Rāmānanda Rāya said, “Instead of joking, people in general will feel great pleasure in hearing such poetry, for the initial remembrance of the worshipable Deity invokes good fortune.”
