abhojyānna vipra yadi karena nimantraṇa
prasāda-mūlya la-ite lāge kauḍi dui-paṇa


SYNONYMS

abhojya-anna vipra—a brāhmaṇa at whose place an invitation cannot be accepted; yadi—if; karena nimantraṇa—he invites; prasāda-mūlya—the price of the prasādam; la-ite—to bear; lāge—costs; kauḍi dui-paṇa—two paṇas of kauḍis.


TRANSLATION

When a brāhmaṇa at whose home an invitation could not be accepted invited the Lord, he would pay two paṇas of conchshells to purchase the prasādam.
