deha-tyāge kṛṣṇa nā paī, pāiye bhajane
kṛṣṇa-prāptyera upāya kona nāhi ‘bhakti’ vine


SYNONYMS

deha-tyāge—by giving up the body; kṛṣṇa—Lord Kṛṣṇa; nā pāi—I do not get; pāiye—I get; bhajane—by devotional service; kṛṣṇa-prāptyera—to get the shelter of Kṛṣṇa; upāya—means; kona—any; nāhi—there is not; bhakti vine—without devotional service.


TRANSLATION

“You should know that one cannot attain Kṛṣṇa simply by giving up the body. Kṛṣṇa is attainable by devotional service. There is no other means for attaining Him.
