“ihāṅ āilāṅa prabhure dekhi’ duḥkha khaṇḍāite
yebā mane, tāhā prabhu nā dilā karite


SYNONYMS

ihāṅ—here (to Jagannātha Purī); āilāṅa—I have come; prabhure—Lord Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu; dekhi’—by seeing; duḥkha khaṇḍāite—to diminish my unhappiness; yebā mane—what was in my mind; tāhā—that; prabhu—Lord Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu; nā dilā karite—did not allow me to do.


TRANSLATION

“I came here to diminish my unhappiness by seeing Lord Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu, but the Lord did not allow me to execute what was in my mind.
