ughāḍa-aṅge paḍiyā śaṅkara nidrā yāya
prabhu uṭhi’ āpana-kāṅthā tāhāre jaḍāya


SYNONYMS

ughāḍa-aṅge—without a covering over the body; paḍiyā—lying down; śaṅkara—Śaṅkara; nidrā yāya—goes to sleep; prabhu—Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu; uṭhi’—getting up; āpana-kāṅthā—His own quilt; tāhāre jaḍāya—wraps him with.


TRANSLATION

He would lie asleep without a covering on his body, and Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu would get up and wrap him with His own quilt.
