pālaka hañā pālyere tāḍite nā yuyāya
tumi sarva-śāstra jāna ‘jindā-pīra’-prāya“


SYNONYMS

pālaka hañā — being a maintainer; pālyere — the person who is maintained; tāḍite — to punish; yuyāya — is not good; tumi — you; sarva-śāstra — all scriptures; jāna — know; jindā-pīra — a living saintly person; prāya — just like.


TRANSLATION

"For a maintainer to punish the person he maintains is not good. You are expert in all the scriptures. Indeed, you are like a living saint."
