prabhu-pade paḍi’ bahu ātma-nindā kaila
tāṅre śānta kari’ prabhu ghare pāṭhāila


SYNONYMS

prabhu-pade — at the feet of Lord Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu; paḍi’ — falling down; bahu — much; ātma-nindā kailamade self-reproach; tāṅre — him; śānta kari’ — making pacified; prabhu — Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu; ghare pāṭhāila — sent back to his home.


TRANSLATION

Falling down at the Lord’s feet, Sārvabhauma Bhaṭṭācārya said many things in self-reproach. The Lord then pacified him and sent him back to his home.
