prati-vatsara prabhu tāṅre pāṭhāna nadīyāte
viccheda-duḥkhitā jāni ‘jananī āśvāsite


SYNONYMS

prati-vatsara — every year; prabhu — Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu; tāṅre — him; pāṭhāna — sends; nadīyāte — to Navadvīpa; viccheda-duḥkhitā jāni’ — knowing her affliction due to separation; jananī — His mother; āśvāsite — to console.


TRANSLATION

Knowing His mother to be greatly afflicted by separation from Him, the Lord would send Jagadānanda Paṇḍita to Navadvīpa every year to console her.
