- sa tān ādāya viprāgryaḥ
- prayayau dvārakāṁ kila
- kṛṣṇa-sandarśanaṁ mahyaṁ
- kathaṁ syād iti cintayan
SYNONYMS
saḥ — he; tān — them; ādāya — taking; vipra-agryaḥ — the best of brāhmaṇas; prayayau — went; dvārakām — to Dvārakā; kila — indeed; kṛṣṇa-sandarśanam — the audience of Lord Kṛṣṇa; mahyam — for me; syāt — will it happen; iti — thus; cintayan — thinking.

TRANSLATION
Taking the flat rice, the saintly brāhmaṇa set off for Dvārakā, all the while wondering "How will I be able to have Kṛṣṇa's audience?"
PURPORT
Among other things, Sudāmā assumed that the gatekeepers would stop him.
