- nārtakyo nanṛtur hṛṣṭā
- gāyakā yūthaśo jaguḥ
- vīṇā-veṇu-talonnādas
- teṣāṁ sa divam aspṛśat
SYNONYMS
nārtakyaḥ — female dancers; nanṛtuḥ — danced; hṛṣṭāḥ — joyful; gāyakāḥ — singers; yūthaśaḥ — in groups; jaguḥ — sang; vīṇā — of vīṇās; tala — and hand cymbals; unnādaḥ — the loud sound; teṣām — their; saḥ — it; divam — the heavens; aspṛśat — touched.

TRANSLATION
Female dancers danced with great joy, and choruses sang, while the loud vibrations of vīnās, flutes and hand cymbals reached all the way to the heavenly regions.
