- brahma haite janme viśva, brahmete jīvaya

SYNONYMS
brahma haite—from the Supreme Brahman; janme—emanates; viśva—the whole cosmic manifestation; brahmete—in the Absolute Truth; jīvaya—exists; sei—that; brahme—in the Absolute Truth; punarapi—again; haye—being; yāya—goes; laya—to annihilation.
TRANSLATION
“Everything in the cosmic manifestation emanates from the Absolute Truth, remains in the Absolute Truth, and after annihilation again enters the Absolute Truth.
PURPORT
In the Taittirīya Upaniṣad (3.1) it is said, yato vā imāni bhūtāni jāyante: “The entire material cosmic manifestation is born of the Supreme Brahman.” Also, the Brahma-sūtra begins with the verse janmādy asya yataḥ: (SB 1.1.1) “The Absolute Truth is that from whom everything emanates.” (BS 1.1.2) That Absolute Truth is Kṛṣṇa. In the Bhagavad-gītā (BG 10.8), Kṛṣṇa says, ahaṁ sarvasya prabhavo mattaḥ sarvaṁ pravartate: “I am the source of all spiritual and material worlds.
