upavāsī dekhi' gopa dugdha āni' dilā
sei dugdha pāna kari' paḍiyā rahilā


SYNONYMS

upavāsī—fasting; dekhi'-seeing; gopa—the milkman; dugdha—milk; ani'-bringing; dilā—gave; sei dugdha—that milk; pāna kari'-drinking; paḍiyā—lying down; rahilā—he remained.


TRANSLATION

When the milkman saw that Raghunātha dāsa was fasting, he gave him some milk. Raghunātha dāsa drank the milk and lay down to rest there for the night.
