ghaṭe ghaṭe ṭheki’ kata ghaṭa bhāṅgi’ gela
śata śata ghaṭa loka tāhāṅ lañā āila


SYNONYMS

ghaṭe ghaṭe ṭheki’ — when there was a collision between one pot and another; kataso many; ghaṭa — pots; bhāṅgi’ gelā — became broken; śata śata — hundreds of; ghaṭapots; loka — people; tāhāṅ — there; lañā — bringing; āila — came.


TRANSLATION

Many of the waterpots were broken when people collided with one another, and hundreds of men had to bring new waterpots to fill.
