Because of his minute independence, the living entity can obey or disobey the orders of the Supreme Lord. If he obeys the Supreme Lord's orders, he becomes happy. If he does not, he becomes unhappy. Therefore the living entity creates his own happiness or unhappiness. The Supreme Lord does not enforce these on anyone. SYNONYMS
yat—because; yūyam—you; pituḥ—of your father; ādeśam—the order; agrahīṣṭa—accepted; mudā-anvitāḥ—in great happiness; atho—therefore; vaḥ—your; uśatī—attractive; kīrtiḥ—glories; lokān anu—throughout the universe; bhaviṣyati—will become possible.
